Cookie Policy

The short version

GameVault Deals sets no cookies of its own. There are no accounts, no basket and no login on this site, so there is nothing to remember about you between visits. The cookies that do appear come from two places: Google Analytics, and the affiliate programmes we link out to.

1. Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people actually read — visit counts, country-level location, device type and which guides get opened. GA4 sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<id>) to tell repeat visits apart from new ones.

This is the only cookie category we choose to run, and the site works completely normally if you block it.

2. Affiliate cookies

When you follow a "View Deals" link to the G2G marketplace, or a "Check price on Amazon" link to Amazon, that platform sets its own cookie so it can credit the visit to us if you buy something. Amazon's affiliate cookie lasts 24 hours from the click.

These cookies are set by G2G and Amazon on their own domains, not by us. We never receive your name, payment details or account information from them — only anonymous commission reports. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

3. What we do not use

No advertising cookies of our own, no retargeting pixels, no social media trackers, no session or login cookies, and no cross-site profiling. We do not sell or share cookie data with anyone.

How to turn cookies off

• Every major browser can block or delete cookies in its privacy settings, including third-party cookies specifically.
• For analytics only, Google publishes an official opt-out browser add-on.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising across Google services at Google Ads Settings.

Blocking any of these does not break the site. Blocking affiliate cookies simply means a purchase you make won't be credited to us — everything still works for you.

If this changes
