Monitor Curvature (1000R, 1800R)
The number is the radius of the circle the screen's curve belongs to, in millimetres. A smaller number means a more aggressive curve.
A 1000R panel curves as though it were part of a circle with a 1000mm radius; an 1800R panel follows a much wider 1800mm circle and therefore looks flatter. Counter-intuitively, the smaller number is the more dramatic curve.
The stated radius is also the distance at which the curve is geometrically 'correct' — sit roughly a metre from a 1000R screen and every point of the panel is about equidistant from your eyes.
Curvature is a comfort and immersion preference, not a performance spec. Some people find it reduces eye travel on large screens; others never adjust to curved straight lines when doing desktop work.
